About Marketing NumbersWe provide all the marketing numbers that are available on the market now including 0800/0870/0871/0905/0906 numbers. The advantage of using marketing numbers is that it gives you a national rather than a local presence - making your business look bigger than it is. The same marketing number can follow you to anywhere in the UK - you do not need to change your contact number even if you move your premises. This is a huge saving on re-printing headed paper and business cards, also ensuring no orders will be missed during the move. Some of the marketing numbers (e.g. 0870/0871/0905) give you a rebate commission on each of your incoming calls - giving you an extra income for your business. Other numbers such as 0845 & 0800 numbers are subsidised by you to make it cheaper and easier for prospective new customers to call. Advantages of using Marketing NumbersUsing marketing numbers can also gives you the ability to track your marketing campaigns - by assigning different marketing numbers to different promotional activities you can measure the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns and therefore alter your marketing strategy next time to maximise the effectiveness. For example, you've decided to advertise your products in Newspaper A & Magazine B. You can provide two different 0871 numbers for these 2 different promotional channels and from the monthly report you receive from Phone Lines 2u you'd be able to know which one is more effective (which one receives more sales calls than the other). Marketing Number FeaturesYour Marketing number does not replace your existing number(s). Your existing fixed line number will be retained - both numbers can work at the same time. This means if someone is not aware of your new marketing number and is still calling you on your BT number, the call will still get through to you. However please note that you will not receive any commission if the call does not get through from your marketing number. Equipment RequiredNo additional equipment is required. Even if direct different numbers to the same line, the call reports you will receive will still provide important marketing information. It does of course make sense to have different terminating lines if you are using different numbers for different brands or trading names. Contract TermsThere is no minimum contract for these numbers, they are easy to set up and you can use them as long as you wish - we simply require 30 days notice of termination. You will get a traffic report on inbound calls once a month. 0870, 0871, 0845 are typically setup in 48 hours. 0800 / 0808 numbers can take up to 5 working days to setup. 0906 numbers can take up to 30 working days and have special legal provisions associated with them - see ordering below. PricingThere are no setup fees for 0870 and 0871 numbers. Users of these numbers can expect a rebate on the cost of the call as follows:
*Figures shown in British pence Lets be clear on this, the rebate is the figure you receive when someone calls you. So, if you had the equivalent of one line fully occupied for an 8 hour day on an 0871 number that would earn YOU as follows: 8 x 60 = 480 minutes 480 minutes @ 2p / minute = £9.60 / day Typically there are 250 working days in a year, so this would earn 250 x 9.6 = £2400 per year. Not a king's ransom, but certainly enough to cover some day to day bills and remember this could be a 12 or 24 hour day or a 6 or 7 day working week. There are no set up fees for 0800 and 0845 numbers. Users of these numbers are charged on the on the cost of the call as follows:

*Figures shown in British pounds Lets be clear on this, the rebate is the figure you receive when someone calls you.
